An analog signal, X, is converted into a digital signal, Y, such that YX modulo A. An analog voltage proportional to rotational position is fed to an analog to digital converter. Angular position information is picked off the analog to digital converter and fed to a digital to analog converter. The analog voltage is compared with a position request control voltage to provide an error signal to a drive motor and forms a closed feedback circuit. The number of revolutions is also picked off the analog to digital converter and is fed to a switch which will limit the number of turns the azimuth motor can make in any direction. Author
