The electric monomcirostrip dipole antenna is a family of new electric microstrip antennas. The electric monomicrostrip dipole antenna consists of a thin electrically conducting element formed on one side of a dielectric substrate the ground plane being on the other side of the substrate. The length of the radiating element is equal to the length of the ground plane, and the width of the ground plane extending beyond each side of the element at the width of the element e.g., approximately 18 wavelength to provide an isotropic radiation pattern. The thickness of the substrate to a large extent determines the bandwidth of the antenna, and the length of the conducting element and ground plane determines the resonant frequency. Author
