Abstract:

The patent relates to an improved latch for use on munition shipping containers or the like for operation with any commonly available tool which increases the mechanical advantage to provide high opening and closing forces while avoiding exposed easily damaged surfaces. The large exposed surfaces on presently available hand operated latches are eliminated thereby preventing damage resulting from accidental hooking on projecting surfaces andor adjacent latches.
