This invention relates to a process of preparing a mild detonating fuse from such heat resistant explosives as DIPAM, HNS, RDX, HMX, PETN, and NONA and includes filling a tubular sheath made of a metal which can be annealed at temperatures below 568F with an explosive material, reducing the explosive filled tubular sheath to a lesser diameter and annealing the sheath.
