Abstract:

E HAVE FOCUSED OUR EFFORTS ON INVESTIGATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ANTISENSE TO TYPE I insulin-like growth factor receptor IGF-IR in reducing tumorigenicity in highly metastatic human breast cancer cells, MDA-MB-435S and murine breast cancer cells, EMT6 in vitro and in vivo. A new construct for antisense IGF-IR has been prepared and transfections were carried out in these cell lines. Clones expressing high levels of antisense IGF-IR and reduced IGF-IR RNA were selected for analysis.
