This report presents a CHAMPUS cost analysis of physical medicine and related procedures within 71 Air Force billable medical treatment facility catchment areas during Fiscal Years FYs 1989 through 1991. It includes the totals of government payments TGP, amounts allowed AAS and billed ABS, number of services, corresponding number of patient episodes, percentages of TGP to AAS and to ABS, and averages of all dollar amounts, by service and per episode. Data are summarized within each FY by procedure category, and were computed for each medical treatment facility catchment area and for all areas combined. Appendix A summarizes TGP, AAS, ABS, and the percents of TGP to AAS and to ABS for each procedure category.
