Cardiovascular care was analyzed utilizing a patient treatment episode approach which specifically analyzed both institutional and professional services costs during the hospitalization, and both preoperative and post- operative ambulatory professional services performed as part of the overall patient treatment episode. Extensive and detailed cardiovascular patient treatment episode costs and workload are included in the report. Cost Expenditures Managed Care Cardiovascular Costs Catchment Area Management.
