The purpose of this particular program was to establish the feasibility of using enamels to control HCF by controlling resonant vibration in rotating turbomachinery establish probable damping design approaches for the generic structure involved and determine research areas covering all phases of the program which will need substantial efforts to advance the enamel damping state-of-art to a point where the enamel damping approach to HCF control is a practical alternative in rotating turbomachinery design.
