Abstract:
A series of tests were performed in a large bomb calorimeter using four sulfur-based colored-smoke compositions. It was found that 1 energy output increases with decreasing sample density, 2 violet smoke is more energetic than the other colored-smoked mixes, and 3 the energy output increases significantly with increased ambient pressure.
