A special study was performed to study the effects of laser reflections from glazed ice and snow on the proposed laser ranges at Fort Greely. A representative of this Agency made measurements on glazed ice and snow during March 1976 on the proposed laser ranges. The Arctic snow produced a diffuse reflection however, the Arctic ice produced a laser reflection which was partly specular and partly diffuse.
