This investigation was designed to develop a white phosphoruspolymer system that would remain solid over the accepted military operating temperatures - thus avoiding the liquid phase a temperatures above 115 degrees Fahrenheit which cause ballistic instability in artillery rounds. Final dynamic ballistic tests on rounds ranging from 40mm to 105mm demonstrated that the WPepoxy system met all military temperature and ballistic requirements.
