Abstract:
The objective of this project was to determine the velocity of sound at altitudes or 1 12, 10 and 54 feet above the ground level at distances of 0, 1500, 3000, 4500 and 6000 feet from ground zero in the interval from detonation to shock wave arrival when various yield atomic weapons are detonated in the air at different altitudes. The most important part of the data in this report is that expressing the velocity in the 50 milliseconds before shock wave arrival at the various transducer locations.
