An end to end electrical model has been developed for a flash-radiography diagnostic used at Los Alamos National Laboratory LANL. The diagnostic consists of a compact, 108 J, Al-series Marxl that drives a bremsstrahlung diode radiation source. The modeling was done using a transmission-line code, BERTHA2, developed at the Naval Research Laboratory NRL. Model predictions agree well with experimental data. The calculations suggest that, as presently configured, the system efficiency can be increased.
