Abstract:

The program resulted in significant advancement in the growth of rocksalt oxide ternary semiconductors and demonstrated devices. Comprehensive studies were put forth on the interrelation of growth conditions with device performance, resulting in a deeper understanding of the optimized parameters for growth. Efforts led to significant increases in solar-blind detector responsivity up to 0.1 AW with sub-nanoamp dark currents and adjustable band edge. Furthermore, the program resulted in 4 journal publications, 6 conference papers, 1 issued patent, and partialfull support for three graduate students who received their PhD degrees from CREOL.
