If you are a leader with ten years of experience in your backpack, you are probably not going to find anything new in this research. However, if you have your first leadership position in sight, or you have just been promoted to your first leadership position, this is right for you. Many people have written about leadership and there is an abundance of guidance on what to do in the first 90-100 days, but these writings are too complex. Therefore, people who are new to the field cannot digest, understand, and follow the advice. All of these issues can be simplified and become more available to new leaders, because most of the data an incoming leader should know, can be consolidated into three main phases specifically preparation, assessment, and action. The author has solved this problem through analysis of the field data and the major works in the field. The PAAELIP Prepare, Assess, Act equals Effective Leadership in Initial Period model is the authors solution and a remedy for a new leader. The result of this research targets a particular audience -- new leaders.
