An experimental model investigation was conducted to obtain design guidance for dolos and tribar overlays used to rehabilitate stone-armored rubble-mound breakwater and jetty trunks subjected to breaking waves. All tests were conducted with a 1V- on-10 H slope fronting the test sections and 1V- on-1.5H- and 1V- on-2H-structure slopes. It was concluded that a . Stability showed some dependency on both dL and Hd with minimum stability occurring at the lower values of dL and higher values of Hd, i.e. longer wave periods in shallower water. b. The minimum stability coefficient observed is very similar to that presently recommended for new construction 15.6 versus 15.
