Abstract:

The SurvivabilityLethality Analysis Directorate SLAD of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory ARL provides survivability, lethality, and vulnerability analyses and expert technical consultation on survivability matters. Traditionally, these analyses focused on single items analyzed in isolation while still important, this focus is insufficient to address the current needs of SLADs most important customers including U.S. Army Test and Evaluation command ATEC and Program Executive Offices PEOs Program Managers PMs. In order to enable the required force operating capabilities, Army leadership is defining and developing complex system of systems SoS suites of technologies called capability packages. This report documents how we are analyzing technologies and capability packages in a mission based SoS context.
