Abstract:

The design of a 30-channel Ka band receiver is described in detail including both the radio frequency RF down-conversion architecture and the digital signal processing platform to be used. The system, which is composed entirely of commercial-off-the-shelf COTS components, is capable of covering 44 of the entire Ka band including the Future Combat Systems Radar and Communications Band in real time with the capability of determining the input signal spectrum location.
