Abstract:

The following study analyzes the impact of the Air Forces role as an agent in the process of social change. Throughout the analysis, the historical evidence helps to answer the following research question How has the United States used the Air Force as an effective agent in the process of social change The Air Force and other branches of the military provide a unique opportunity to the Commander-in-Chief and Congress, who can implement monumental changes in personnel policies. This study seeks to illustrate the benefits of such an arrangement, as the historical record indicates the Air Force routinely demonstrated its professionalism and leadership capacity, aiding society in the process of social change.
