Abstract:
Charleston AFB the Base has the requirement to construct a War Readiness Material WRM warehouse for the 315th Airlift Wing 315 A W, a tenant unit at the Base. Currently, WRM equipment is being stored in multiple facilities at the Base, thereby impacting the facilities because they were not designed to store the type or volume of equipment that the 315 A W possesses. The new WRM warehouse would provide space for storage, receiving shipping, inspection, and war readiness storage of supplies and equipment necessary to support 315 AW training and real-world operations. Under the No Action Alternative, the Base would continue to store 315 A W WRM in the facilities currently used for storage. Resources considered in the impact analysis were air quality noise solid waste hazardous materials and wastes and environmental justice. No significant impacts would result from implementation of the Proposed Action or the No Action Alternative.
