Abstract:

Modern warfare relies on electrical generators at base camps. While the associated fuel costs are well understood, we cannot explain where our kilowatt-hours kwh are going. Reducing demand without reducing our capability requires appliance-level feedback, which current smart-meter technology does not provide.
