Abstract:

The tumultuous period within the Roman Empire, known as the Crisis of Third Century was an ancient example of Crisis Management and the empire that emerged was dramatically changed as a result. The reforms implemented by the Principate, culminating under the reigns of Diocletian and Constantine, undoubtedly saved and transformed an empire in turmoil. Additionally, the changes that occurred were imperial examples of the modem day Crisis Management model.
