Abstract:

This paper focuses on the potential applications of regenerative medicine to include cell and biomaterial-based therapies for treating combat casualties at early echelons. The intent is to explore and evaluate the potential improvements, such as faster healing andor greater functional outcome, that can be gained from applications of these medical technologies at the early echelons to include Levels I, II, and III through an evaluation on the current state-of-the-art on wound healing and tissue regeneration technologies.
