During the period of 121912 020213 of Contract W911NF-13-C-0017 we performed the following. We developed a ROC Receiver Operator Characteristic curve for benzenethiol BT on a polyvinylidene difluoride PVDF substrate coated with gold nanoparticles iFyber substrate. The ROC curve indicates detection levels around 2 x 10-8 ppm of the CWA agent simulant. This is 200x above the target detection level in air. The difficulty and pathway to improved detection is discussed.
