During last year, we have screened NCI Diversity Set, Nature Compound and Clinical Collection 1 and 2 libraries using cell-based assay and have identified 22 and 35 candidate compounds that inhibit miR-19ab and miR-221222, respectively. Furthermore, we have characterized the specificity of these candidates as well as potential inhibitors of miR-214 and have identified 2 specific inhibitors for miR-214, 3 for miR-221222 and 2 for miR-19ab. We are currently investigating their antitumor activity in cell culture and animal model.
