The goals of this Subcommittee have been to Identify guiding principles that should be considered in designing the evolution of the Next Generation Air Transportation System NextGen from the perspectives of Airline Operations Centers AOCs and Flight Operation Centers FOCs Outline key areas for future research and concept exploration that build upon these guiding principles in order to define and implement an effective longterm operational concept. It should be noted that this paper has not focused on the research, and that concept explorations need to better support single piloted aircraft that may not be supported by an AOCFOC GA and military.
