Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to evaluate and establish the effectiveness of three behavioral treatments for PTSD exposure, cognitive, and skills assertivenessrelaxation therapies provided in a group format. Proactive recruitment has been ongoing since February 2009. The third medical monitoring meeting was held in March 2011 1st in 2009 and 2nd in 2010. A total of 50 study subjects have completed the initial assessment and were randomized to either the minimal attention wait-list arm or the treatment arm. In year three, two adverse events, not deemed study-related, occurred with one subject. Two abstracts have been submitted to the upcoming ISTSS conference in November 2011. Study staff continue to utilize study methodology and collaborate with stakeholders.
