The ultimate goal is to develop direct simulationphysics-based forward and inverse capabilities for radiance prediction in a dynamic ocean environment. This direct simulation-based model will include and integrate all of the relevant dynamical processes in the upper ocean surface boundary layer into a physics-based computational prediction capability for the time-dependent radiative transport.
