Abstract:

An eddy-resolving nowcastforecast system for the global ocean with embedded basin-scale systems 116 deg Pacific north of 20 deg S and 132 deg Atlantic subtropical gyre, 9 deg-51 deg N, which includes the Intra- Americas Sea and a global model with progressively increasing resolution, 14 deg, 18 deg and ultimately 132 deg resolution. These systems will include data assimilation of satellite altimetry, sea surface temperature and in-situ data.
