Long Term Goal To study nonlinear ocean internal wave processes in the South China Sea SCS by using satellite synthetic aperture radar SAR imagery, in-situ data, and numerical models to understand the environmental effects e.g. bottom topography, shoaling, mixing, and currentshear on nonlinear internal wave generation, evolution, and dissipation.
