Abstract:

The goal of the project is to make HYCOM HYbrid Coordinate Ocean Model a state of the art community ocean model with data assimilation capability of sea surface height from altimetry, sea surface temperature from MCSST and in-situ data. The ultimate goal is to have an eddy-resolving assimilative fully global nowcastforecast system running in real time.
