As of September 2009, the Army Materiel Command has obligated over Global Maintenance and Supply Services GMASS contract for activities supports Department of Defense maintenance activities for the U.S. Army, Afghan Army. The Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq MNSTC-I Iraq Security Forces Fund, issued task orders for a program to assist the Iraqi developing a self-sufficient logistics capability. In the course of prior reporting contract, SIGIR could not find support in contract documents and other records costs charged by the contractor, AECOM Government Services AECOM. SIGIR reviewed financial data on repair part purchases from the Army and not reconcile the data. SIGIR initiated this review to determine whether adequate existed for amounts billed by AECOM for some of those repair parts.
