Abstract:

This paper presents the preliminary development of adaptive signal processing for distributed, waveform diverse, antenna arrays. The long term goal is to develop practical waveform-timespace adaptive processing algorithms for distributed apertures. A crucial issue identified in previous works is that, in practice, the target and interfering sources are not in the far-field of the antenna array. Recent work by the authors develops the model required to generate simulated data. This paper extends this work, focusing on using the model to formulate adaptive signal processing algorithms specifically for waveform diverse distributed apertures.
