This research project examines the potential effects of multiple and lengthy deployments of our military members as they relate to the stay-behind children of those members. Specifically, the project identifies and frames the issue, examines the significance of the issue, and attempts to determine whether this issue is a problem by reviewing relevant studies on the topic. Finally, the project reviews what is currently being done to quantify the effects of multiple deployments on the children of military members, and makes recommendations as to what more can be done.
