Abstract:

Why is there a need to improve upon strategic collaboration especially in the military and Department of Defense This new strategic environment in which leaders at all levels especially at the strategic level find themselves drives the need to make decisions more quickly and with more input from outside their own organizations. Gone are the days of strictly military service-specific collaboration. Todays new strategic environment requires military leaders to work with multiple stakeholders using their strategic leadership and communication skills to solve complex issues in this volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous VUGA world. These stakeholders include, but are not limited to interagency departments, non-governmental organizations NGO, multi national organizations, and industry.
