Abstract:

In 1991, under Contract DAAA15-91-D-0008, the U.S. Army Environmental Center tasked ABB Environmental Services, Inc. ABB-ES to conduct site investigations SI at eleven Study Areas SA in SA Groups 3, 5, and 6 as described in the Fort Devens Master Environmental Plan. This Revised Final Site Investigation Report summarizes ABB-ES findings, conclusions, and recommendations for the site investigations conducted at SA Groups 3, 5, and 6. The purpose of the SI at each SA was to evaluate existing information and to identify and obtain additional information necessary to verify the absence or presence of environmental contamination, in order to determine whether further investigation or response action is warranted.
