The unscented transformation is applied to tracks given in Cartesian coordinates to obtain target range, bearing, elevation, range rate, speed and course estimates, and their associated errors. This approach is attractive because it does not require tedious closed-form mathematical derivations, is not computationally expensive, and does not require a pseudo-random number generator. Example code and results are given to demonstrate the applicability of the approach.
