DSTO operates a low speed wind tunnel within the Air Vehicles Division of DSTO Melbourne. Airspeeds up to approximately 100 ms can be produced in the empty test section which is 2.7 m wide by 2.1 m high. Acquisition and display of pressure distribution data over a model under test in the wind tunnel is important to the project manager and test engineer so they can monitor the results in near real time as the test progresses. A software package called ImPressOne was developed for this purpose giving a graphical display of the pressure and the ability to acquire pressure sets and save the data to file. This document provides details of the software and its operation. It also provides information on programming and development considerations of the software.
