Abstract:

This report considers the applicability of military WLAN-based systems, communication relay-enabled UAVs and UWB for communications in Urban Warfare for the period of 2010-2015. Technical-operational requirements have been identified and applied to for the purpose of this study. The role of JTRSJoint Tactical Radio System and Network Enabled Capabilities has also been regarded in this study. As a possible intermediate solution, the use of GPRS General Packet Radio Service has been briefly considered.
