The research program commenced 1 November 2000 and terminated 14 January 2004. Progress was achieved in a broad range of areas, including 1 radiosurgery treatment planning 2 stochastic network approximations for improving air operations planning 3 basis pursuit limited-memory solution of complementarity problems 4 solution of MPECs via nonlinear programming 5 supporting research in optimization methods. This progress is described in more detail in Section 3. This work was described and documented in a total of 46 research papers and 2 doctoral theses. These papers, with their status as of the end of the reporting period, are listed in Section 5.
