The creep properties of silicon nitridesilicon carbide nanocomposites were studied in compression. The material was processed using the route of pyrolysis of a polymer precursor. The extraordinary low creep rate that was experimentally measured in this project was obtained by primarily minimizing the presence of intergranular glassy phase.
