RAND has just completed a multiyear effort, sponsored by the National Intelligence Council NIC, to explore the future of the information revolution throughout the world. This was a multi-disciplinary effort with a broad range of participants from both inside and outside RAND, with an overarching goal of mapping the likely future of the global information revolution over the next one to two decades. This report focuses on the many findings of this study. This effort included a series of international conferences on specific aspects of the information revolution, involving experts in various relevant areas.
