This report was prepared by the author as a Masters thesis which partially fulfilled the requirements for a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute IN. Equations of motion and digital models of a gyroscope were developed for use in electro-opticalinfrared missile simulations. Three different models were developed, of varying complexity. Results from these models were compared to actual gyro test data to evaluate the fidelity of the various gyroscope models.
