Evaluating Application of Innovative Technologies to the Operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant
Final rept. 19 Jun 1998-3 Feb 1999
ARCADIS GERAGHTY AND MILLER RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK NC
Pagination or Media Count:
An Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant AWTP was installed at Camp Lejeune, NC, that incorporated tertiary treatment processes designed to protect the nutrient-sensitive nature of the receiving stream, the New River. Existing operations staff experienced with the basic biological treatment techniques of the previously existing facilities, needed additional training to support operation of the new facility and optimize capabilities of the innovative technologies being employed. This project developed the training materials and conducted the training necessary to educate the operations staff in the theory, operation, and troubleshooting of the new AWTP.
