During first year of this project, we have carried out multiparametric flow analysis of estrogen receptor ER expression in 75 formalin fixedparaffin embedded human breast tumors. Flow cytometric data was compared with immunohistochemical studies and correlation between ER expression and the histopathological evaluation was undertaken. We developed a staining protocol for simultaneous evaluation of nuclear volume and DNA content of nuclei. A manuscript was published. We have analyzed 50 freshfrozen tumor biopsies for nuclear volume versus DNA content and a manuscript is being prepared for publication.
