The seventh topical meeting on Lasers and Applications to Chemical and Environmental Analysis continued the tradition of state-of-the-art research and applications and was presented in an informal atmosphere designed to foster communication among researchers and practitioners in the field. New developments in optical sources, instrumentation, and spectroscopic techniques are principal driving forces for the increased use of lasers in chemical analysis and environmental monitoring.
