Abstract:
The chemical decontamination of nitrogen mustards, HN-1, -2, and -3, generally involves oxidation and hydrolysis bleach is the most commonly used reagent. Reactions of nitrogen mustards with peracetic acid and 30 hydrogen peroxide were studied, and the products were analyzed by proton and C-13 NMR spectra.
