In the Spring of 1998, CNA became involved with an experiment at Commander of Navy Recruiting Command CNRC to determine the best and most cost effective practices for using the Internet to post job ads. We tracked the activity of both the free and fee based sites for August through November 1998. This research memorandum summarizes our findings and recommendations. We found the growing use of the Internet in general justifies a continuation of cyberspace recruiting and the results of the 4 month trial support this conclusion.
