An Investigation of Space-Time Adaptive Processing With Regard to Minimum Detectable Velocity
NAVAL RESEARCH LAB WASHINGTON DC
Pagination or Media Count:
A study was conducted comparing the performance of various adaptive processing algorithms with regard to the detection of slow moving targets in ground clutter. The measure of performance was minimum detectable velocity. Algorithms studied included fully adaptive Space-Time Adaptive Processing STAP as well as several reduced dimensional adaptive processing algorithms such as Adaptive Displaced Phase Centered Array ADPCA processing. The analysis was performed by means of computer simulation. The relative performance of the various algorithms and the relation to number of degrees of freedom is discussed.
