Abstract:
In recent years, the Air Force, as well as the other military services, has faced a complex set of changing conditions forcing it to reexamine the way in which existing jobs are structured. In FY93, the Air Force Research Laboratorys Human Effectiveness Directorate then called the Armstrong Laboratory initiated research through Broad Agency Announcement 92-20 to develop capabilities that will aid in the design of effective jobs to meet future changing requirements. One research initiative was aimed at defining the process by which enlisted jobs are currently designed. The purpose for conducting such an effort was to develop a baseline for determining research priorities and needs. This report presents that description.
